My cured laminate needs trimming and drilling without delaminating it. Who machines composite rather than metal?
What it is
Trimming, drilling and edge finishing cured laminate. Abrasive rather than chip-forming: fiber dulls tooling fast, delamination at hole exits is the governing defect, and the dust is a respiratory and electrical hazard.

CNC routing and 5-axis waterjetting at the Hebron, Ohio site. Waterjet is the normal way to trim ballistic laminate because it does not heat the resin or delaminate the edge. Recorded at medium for the same reason as the pressing edge: process named, material not.
