Aluminum Heat Treatment
I need parts solution treated and aged, or quenched and tempered, to an aerospace specification. Who is accredited for my material?
What it is
Solution treating, aging, annealing, normalizing, quenching and tempering in air, controlled atmosphere or salt. The route for aluminum and most steels, where reactive and refractory metals instead require vacuum.

Bodycote Reported
Aluminium alloys are named explicitly in the material list. CAVEAT: Bodycote operates 245 plants in 21 countries and WHICH plant holds WHICH approval is not established from these sources. A NADCAP thermal processing approval belongs to a furnace at a named site, not to the corporate brand. Confirm the plant before qualifying to it.

Solar Atmospheres ReportedAS9100NADCAP Heat TreatingLargest unit 48 ft long, 150,000 lb capacity
The published process list covers age hardening and homogenising without naming aluminium; confirm the alloy and temper before sourcing. SIZE CAVEAT: this is the LARGEST UNIT across a seven-plant network, not the envelope of this particular process at any one site. Re-confirmed 2026-07-30 as 48 feet long and 150,000 pound capacity; the previously recorded '90+ furnaces' count could not be re-confirmed and has been dropped. Ask which plant and which furnace before sizing a part to it.
