Melt origin recorded as US on the strength of an integrated domestic producer that describes itself as spanning iron ore mining through post-consumer recycling. The deep-dive did NOT establish individual plant locations or whether the route is blast furnace, EAF or DRI, so treat DFARS 252.225-7009 status as a per-heat question to be confirmed on the mill certificate rather than as settled by this record.

Nucor Corporation VerifiedUS melted
Flat-rolled sheet among the published products. Melted in an electric arc furnace from recycled scrap and continuously cast. Nucor states every one of its mills uses this route. Domestic melting is strong evidence for DFARS 252.225-7009, but it is still settled per heat on the mill certificate. Nucor lists Military & Defense among industries served but publishes no armour or military grade for this product, so do not assume a MIL-DTL specification from this record.
