What it is
Chemical and mechanical surface processes including anodizing, passivation, chemical conversion coating, chemical milling, shot peening and coating application. Each is a separately accredited NADCAP scope, so holding one implies nothing about the others.

Coating, confirmed on the company website alongside machining, milling and grinding. Surface treatment is not optional on magnesium the way it is on aluminium. Bare magnesium corrodes galvanically against almost every fastener and mating part it touches, so the coating system is part of the design, not a finish. The specific coating chemistry (chromate conversion, anodising such as Tagnite or Keronite, or paint) is NOT named. Ask, because qualification is chemistry-specific.
